Felicia Michael

Certified Licensed Musikgarten® Instructor

Felicia Michael moved to New Milford in 2006 from New York City. She continues to perform in New York, Connecticut, and beyond, in addition to coaching private voice students.

Born into a family with three generations of opera singers, she was immersed in music at an early age. She apprenticed in regional theatre and performed in productions for children and adults. She studied drama and dance at the University of Connecticut, then moved to New York, where she worked in music recording, sang on sessions for advertising and record projects, and in venues all over the city, including Windows On The World, The Intrepid, and in Central Park for an audience of thousands, at the Susan G. Komen Foundation's Race for The Cure.©

She did guest voice coaching clinics at Manhattan's Bank Street School for their Rock Band class, working with students aged 11 to 18 on vocal style, mic technique, stage presence, and other performance skills.

In the course of performing and coaching, she became increasingly interested in the cognitive processes involved in music learning and skill development.
Her becoming a certified Musikgarten teacher is a direct result of this fascination.

"Little Birds Music School is a wonderful caring environment for those future miniature musicians toddling around your home!

I can personally vouch for the skills of the teacher, as she has been my son's vocal coach for years."
